Glucosamine
Glucosamine is a building block of articular cartilage and connective tissue that is no longer produced by the body as the animal ages, and which must therefore be added to the animal’s diet. Glucosamine is mainly used to treat rheumatic diseases, as it improves joint function and reduces rigidity.
PROPERTIES:
- Helps repair the cartilage
- Lubricates the joints
- Meets the increased need in the growth phase and heavy performance
Glucosamine is an endogenous substance, and an important component of cartilage and connective tissue. At a young age, animals are able to produce this themselves, but that ability decreases as the animal ages. The required quantity remains unchanged however, so it’s necessary for the animal to take this supplement with its food. High enough levels of glucosamine in the body can help to repair damaged cartilage.
This dietary supplement supports joint movement and improves the quality of cartilage present in this movement poles. Glucosamine is responsible for the creation and maintenance of synovial fluid (joint lubricant) in the joints. It ensures a smoother motion and better shock resistance.
Currently it is used as a supplement but its effect is more reminiscent of that of a drug. Due to the improved regeneration of articular cartilage, it directly treats the cause of joint wear. It strongly restores the broken joints without inducing dangerous side effects and it might be even safer than NSAIDs. It is more easily absorbed into the body than chondroitin. This dietary supplement is used for the improvement of joint function and to reduce stiffness in particular.
When combined with MSM, chondroitin and / or vitamin C, they enhance each other’s effects.
